in historical records, had been prospering on this fertile
land, leaving behind them many touching legends and numerous
cultural relics.

is located at the southeast edge of the Chengdu Plain. More
specifically, it is in the west of urban Chengdu between
the West Second Ring Road and the Third Ring Road, latitude
30¡ã40¡äN and longitude 104 ¡ãE, about five kilometers of downtown.
Currently, the site has proved an area of about five square
kilometers, with the north reaching Yangxi Road, the east
neighbouring Tonghe Road and Qingyang Avenue, the west stretching
to the Third Ring Road, and the south in access to Middle
and West Qingjiang Road. It occupies a flat area with few
ups and downs. Generally, the terrain is a little higher
in the northwest than in the southeast with a relative relief
of no more than five meters. Both in and around the site
area, quite a few rivers are running, among which, 1.5 kilometers
southward flowing the Qingjiang River. Another is the Modi
River which is just twisting across the very site, dividing
it into two halves, the northern and the southern parts.
In the southern part lies the Jinsha Village, and the northern
the Huang Zhong Village. And then all of a sudden, at the
beginning of the 21st century, a world amazing archaeological
discovery turned up in Jinsha village, such an unknown place.
