¡¡¡¡Jinsha Relics is located in southwest China's Sichuan Province, geographically composed by Sichuan-Tibet Plateau and the Sichuan Basin. In the west of the basin lying the nearly 10,000 sq km Chengdu Plain, which is formed by connecting the alluvial fans at the estuaries of the Minjiang River, the Shiting Jiang River and the Mianyuan River. It is 400--750 meters above sea level with the land descending all the way down from the northwest to the southeast. Rivers networks here. It falls into the sub-tropical monsoon climate and is warm and humid all year round with four distinct seasons. Records of Huayang Kingdom: History of Shu says that (The Shu territory) covers a vast area of fertile land¡­without flood or drought. People living there have never known a famine year.As such, it is acclaimed as the Heaven on Earth. Zhuge Liang, Premier of the Shu Kingdom in the Three Kingdoms Period also commended that Yizhou (i.e.Chengdu, as was called in Han Dynasty), which boasts an extensive rich territory, is really a natural fortification of great srtategic significance. Chengdu, a 3000-year old City with 10 million urban and rural population, is situated in the east part of the plain. As early as 3000 years ago, people in the ancient Shu Kingdom, as depicted in historical records, had been prospering on this fertile land, leaving behind them many touching legends and numerous cultural relics.

¡¡¡¡Jinsha Relics Museum is located at the southeast edge of the Chengdu Plain. More specifically, it is in the west of urban Chengdu between the West Second Ring Road and the Third Ring Road, latitude 30¡ã40¡äN and longitude 104 ¡ãE, about five kilometers of downtown. Currently, the site has proved an area of about five square kilometers, with the north reaching Yangxi Road, the east neighbouring Tonghe Road and Qingyang Avenue, the west stretching to the Third Ring Road, and the south in access to Middle and West Qingjiang Road. It occupies a flat area with few ups and downs. Generally, the terrain is a little higher in the northwest than in the southeast with a relative relief of no more than five meters. Both in and around the site area, quite a few rivers are running, among which, 1.5 kilometers southward flowing the Qingjiang River. Another is the Modi River which is just twisting across the very site, dividing it into two halves, the northern and the southern parts. In the southern part lies the Jinsha Village, and the northern the Huang Zhong Village. And then all of a sudden, at the beginning of the 21st century, a world amazing archaeological discovery turned up in Jinsha village, such an unknown place.
