¡¡¡¡After a comprehensive study of the Jinsha Relics, archaeologists basically decide that the site roughly covers the period from the late Shang Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn period (about 1200-650 BC). The sub-period from late Shang Dynasty to mid Western Zhou Dynasty is claimed to have seen the most prosperous times when the place nowadays Jinsha is located is supposed the location of the capital of the ancient Shu Kingdom. The Jinsha site is one of the most important sites for the Pre-Qin period. It contributed to the four different stages of the evolution of civilization in ancient Shu together with pre-historical city groups in the Chengdu Plain, Sanxingdui Relics and the boat-coffin cemetary in the Warring States period. Discoveries having made prove that the Chengdu Plain used to be the center from which civilization of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River originated, and is an important integral part of Chinese civilization. The discovery of Jinsha ruins has greatly expanded the connotation and denotation of the ancient Shu culture, contributing vast significance to the study of the origin, rise and decline of the Shu culture. It especially has provided powerful evidence for understanding the sudden mysterious disappearance of the Sanxingdui civilization. It can be said that this discovery has reproduced the brilliant achievements of the ancient Shu Kingdom, led a lost history to be recovered and revealed to the world an ancient civilization that had been in deep slumber for more than 3,000 years.
