Over recent years, there have been many important archaeological discoveries in Chengdu, which help people better understand the ancient Shu civilization and the city's history.

The exhibition Important Archaeological Finds and Unearthed Cultural Relics highlights the cultural relics including the centuries-old boat-coffins unearthed from Shangye Street in downtown Chengdu and archaeological excavations from Laoguanshan Han Dynasty Tomb in the city's northern suburbs. Moreover, the exhibits are enriched with behind-the-scene stories about the repair and restoration of these archaeological findings.
