On June 1, 2017, the children’s exhibition of All Things Have a Soul: Marvelous Zoo of Animal Style Artworks was held at Jinsha Site Museum. One hundred and fifty animal-shaped cultural relics collected by Jinsha Site Museum and Guangdong Museum were on display, showing the harmonious relationship between human beings and animals. It has been reported that this was the first children’s exhibition held at Jinsha Site Museum.
According to different animal habitats, the exhibition was divided into four areas, namely the sky, the water, the land, and the domestic place. Moreover, a special fifth area of “Animal World of Ancient Shu” was added. Different from animals in real life, the relics displayed in this area depicted many mythical creatures that existed only in legends.
Ms. Yang Jianhua, one of the curators of this exhibition, said, “Since Jinsha Site Museum started to hold temporary exhibitions in 2012, it has been focusing on exhibitions of historical or archaeological themes, or a special type of relics such as goldware or bronze ware. This one will explore a new perspective by emphasizing the relationship between humans and animals.
