On Jan 23, 2017, the opening ceremony of the special exhibition Ancient Egypt: World of Pharaohs and Gods, sponsored by Jinsha Site Museum and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), was held outside the temporary exhibition hall.

Following two world-civilizations-series exhibitions Dancing with Gods: African Exquisite Carving Art and Eternal City-Splendor of Ancient Rome, this one will display 155 pieces (sets) cultural relics of ancient Egyptian culture collected by ROM. These artifacts relate to many interesting topics such as life and death concepts, pharaohs, military affairs, religious beliefs and etc.

The exhibition will last through May 4, 2017.
