Sanxingdui and Jinsha site are two shining stars among numerous cultural ruins of the ancient Shu civilization. The discovery of Sanxingdui substantiated against the old-fashioned belief that the southwestern part of ancient China was once dominated by savages. Even when it was 4000 years ago, the Shu people boasted highly-developed bronze-making techniques.
Since 2008, Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum and Sanxingdui Museum have collaborated on a joint exhibition called Mysterious ancient Shu state-essential cultural relics from sanxingdui and jinsha site. Covering over 120 pieces of sets of exquisite artifacts, the exhibition aims to tell audiences from both home and abroad about the development of ancient Shu culture.
