The Cultural Relics Chosen for the Early China: Serial Exhibition I on Chinese Civilization in Italy Returned Safely

On March 20, 2014, Early China (3500 BC - 221 BC): Serial Exhibition I on Chinese Civilization, jointly hosted by the National Cultural Heritage Administration of China and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage of Italy was successfully concluded. On April 10, staff members finished the checking and handover procedures of the three exhibits from Jinsha Site Museum. Currently, the cultural relics are safely back in the storehouse, to be conserved later.

The 9-month exhibition opened in the Palazzo Venezia in downtown Rome on 21 June, 2013. The exhibition features more than 150 pieces of cultural relics of bronze, jade and lacquerware from all across China, including precious cultural relics from archaeological sites like Taosi, Erlitou, Sanxingdui, and Jinsha. Some of the exhibits made even made their first presence abroad. This successful exhibition has familiarized the European audiences with a comprehensive understanding of Chinese history and culture.
