Release Time: 2017-10-24
On the afternoon of Jul. 16, 2013, Ms. Nerida Suzanne King, Secretary of the Australian Embassy in China, visited the Jinsha Site Museum with her delegation, accompanied by Yao Fei, Deputy Curator of the Museum.
It was particularly sultry in Chengdu during summer time, but this did not affect Ms. Nerida Suzanne King’s enthusiasm during the visit. She is very fond of China's ancient culture and has known about the Jinsha Site through magazines. It was reported that the visit was not only for its reputation, but also a preliminary investigation before the coming of important guests from the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the end of the month.
The delegation visited the Hall of Relics and the Exhibition Hall successively. At the entrance of Hall of Relics, Ms. Nerida Suzanne King had a great interest in the construction of the Hall and asked whether foreign designers had participated in the design. Learning from the instructor that the building was designed completely by the young designers of our country, she exclaimed: "It was so beautiful and incredible." Into the Exhibition Hall# 1, the environmental restoration semi-scene-painting of the Jinsha era attracted the most attention. They all praised that the Jinsha Site Museum could think of restoring vividly the Chengdu plains in ancient times in the form of semi-scene painting, which was rare in museums at home and abroad. After the visit, Ms. Nerida Suzanne King communicated with Deputy Curator Yao in terms of the preparation for the important coming visits at the end of the month. She also expressed satisfaction with this visit, hoping that the coming visits would be wonderful as well.
Greeting every visitor coming to Jinsha Site at our best is the working philosophy we always adhered to. In the coming days, the Jinsha Site Museum will also be actively prepared to meet the mission of every visit.
