UNESCO Director-General Visited the Jinsha Site Museum with the Delegation

    On Aug. 6, 2011, UNESCO Director-General, Irina Bokova and the delegation visited the Jinsha Site Museum, accompanied by Zhu Zhangyi, Deputy Curator of the Museum.

    Irina Bokova and the delegation visited the Sculpture of the Sun Bird, the logo of the Chinese cultural heritage, the Hall of Relics and the Exhibition Hall successively. Despite of days of fatigue, the delegation still showed great interest to the mysterious ancient Shu civilization and exquisite historical relics. Irina Bokova expressed her great appreciation to the protection and display for the site of the original ruins applied by the Museum, after inquiring in-depth about the history, folk tradition and fold customs of ancient Jinsha and cultural relics protection, etc.
