Mariella Molina, Special Envoy of the Ecuador President, and Consul General in Guangzhou, Visited the Jinsha Site Museum

    On Oct. 30, 2011, Ms. Mariella Molina Rodriguez, the Special Envoy of Ecuador President, visited the Jinsha Site Museum.

    During the visit, Mariella listened carefully to the explanation, and meanwhile watched the unearthed cultural relics. She particularly carefully watched the gold ware and stone ware and asked in detail on its unearthing and modeling features professionally. Mariella said emotionally that the relics unearthed in the Jinsha site were very beautiful and incredible, and the museum was full of modernity and she liked it very much. 

    After the visit, Li Bei, Director of the Museum Department of Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, and Ren Ge, Director of Cultural Relics Information Consultation Center of Chengdu Municipal Cultural Bureau and other leaders led a cordial meeting with Mariella in the academic lecture hall of the Museum. Mariella said during the meeting, that the relics unearthed in the Jinsha site had many similarities with many typical objects in the Inca civilization from the cultural point of view, and the two civilizations should have a certain connection. She hoped that the two sides could carry out closer cultural exchanges, more in-depth researches on the cultural level and the protection technology for the cultural relics. She also hoped that the two sides could set up special organizations to promote the realization of the matter. Director Li Bei said that the platform of cultural relics’ exhibition can promote the implementation of the relevant cultural exchanges, and that the meeting would also promote the connection between the ancient Shu civilization and Inca civilization. And he also hoped that the two sides should strengthen ties, working together to promote the cultural exchange activities.

    Deputy Director of Cultural Relics Information Consultation Center of Chengdu Municipal Cultural Bureau, He Bin, and Director of the Exhibition and Research Department of the Jinsha Site Museum, Wang Fang, also participated in the meeting.
