The Fifth Group of Latin-American Delegation Visited Jinsha Site Museum

    Guided by the tour guide, the members of the delegation visited the Jinsha archeological site and exhibition hall of cultural relics. Through this visit, the delegation had basic understanding of the evacuation, the value of cultural relics, the ancient Shu Kingdom culture and other historical issues. This visit also aroused great interest of the members in the long history and rich culture of Sichuan, China.

    Jinsha Site Museum is located in the Jinsha Site Road of the Qingyang District of Chengdu. It is the first major archaeological discovery in China at the beginning of the 21st century. In 2006, it was listed as National Cultural Heritage Conservation Unit. Having existed for 3,000 years, Jinsha Site is found to astound the whole world. Nearly 1,000 valuable cultural relics were unearthed. Besides, there was a large number of unearthed earthenware. Judged from the production time, most of the relics were probably produced in the late Shang Dynasty and the early Western Zhou Dynasty, and a few of them were produced in the Spring and Autumn Period. With the constant evacuation, it is possible that there will be significant discoveries.
