“Mysterious Culture of Ancient Shu Kingdom” Will Be on the Exhibition Tour since October

Through 6th round of Sino-American strategic and economic talk and the 5th round of sino-American humanity high-level negotiation, China and America reached about 300 cooperation agreements. Among them, Jinsha Site Museum and Sanxingdui Museum together with Huston Museum of Natural Science will hold an exhibition of “Mysterious Ancient Shu Culture” in April of the next year. Yesterday, the reporter learnt from the Jinsha Site Museum that before being exhibited in Huston Museum of Natural Science, “Mysterious Ancient Shu Culture” would be exhibited in Bowers Museum of the US in October this year.

The schedule says that “Mysterious ancient Shu Culture” will be exhibited in Bowers Museum of the US in October this year and in Huston Museum of Natural Science the next April.
The “goldleaf of Sun Bird” (replication) which reflects the high-level skills of the ancestors of Jinsha and their worship for the sun, the head band showing the majestic power of the king and the small gold masks presenting witchcraft culture will be seen by the Americans. Meanwhile, the exquisite bronze vessels and jadeware will also show the charm of the ancient Shu culture.

“The president of Bowers Museum Shi Liuxiuzhi is an ethnic Chinese. She came to Sichuan to visit Sanxingdui Museum and Jinsha Site Museum for several times. She was very interested in ancient Shu culture.” The curator assistant, director of Research Department Wang Fang said that Shi Liu Xiuzhiwent to Tibet 12 times in order to hold this exhibition. When she waited for the plane to Tibet in Chengdu, she would go to visit the two museums. “Bronze big standing figures and the goldleaf of Sun Bird attracted her very much. She dreamed about bringing these treasures to America to be exhibited, letting the Americans enjoy them”
