Chengdu Jinsha Sun Festival 2015 Opened

Release Time: 2017-11-01

Last night, the Chengdu Jinsha Sun Festival 2015 was opened in the Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum mirthfully with lanterns focusing on the Silk Road. The combination of “3D Light Show” and traditional culture brought visitors different feelings. It is learned that the Sun Festival would continue to Mar. 8.

Cultural Relics on the Silk Road Turned to Lanterns

By gathering the Northern Silk Road, the Southern Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road, the Jinsha Sun Festival guided people a journey of space from Qin to the Two Han Dynasties, via the Tang and Song Dynasties to the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, from Chengdu to the world. Interestingly, some lanterns were inspired by the unearthed cultural relics, such as the “Shu Brocade” designed based on the jacquard loom unearthed from the Laoguanshan Western Han Wooden Tombs in Tianhui Town. The gilded silver pot with dancing horse, the gilded silver vase, the blue-and-green porcelain and the three-color glazed pottery camel bearing musician instruments were also the source of lanterns.

“3D Light Show” for Ancient Shu Treasures

Last night, the new project “3D Light Show” met with visitors before the Exhibition Hall. A giant 3D image was displayed above its roof and included the Southern Silk Road starting at Chengdu, the Jinsha Site cultural relics evidencing the prosperity of ancient Shu culture, the Jinsha Sun Bird as the logo of China Cultural Heritage and the Shu Brocade titled as “An Oriental Treasure, A Chinese Wonder”. Unfolded from east to west, the Silk Road was presented and then substituted by flowers. What were presented also included the Sun Bird and the Shu Brocade to create a fancy world. It is learned that the “3D Light Show” will be cycled during the Chengdu Jinsha Sun Festival 2015.

Flowers and Shows  Endless Joys of the New Spring

Last night, a great variety of shows were presented, for instance, the Indian shows and African dances, shows with ostrich or on pillars. Moreover, comedians of Sichuan, including Liao Jian, Badeng, Tiegongji, Zhong Yanping and the super-girl Wang Zi would show up! Flowers and lanterns are always a necessity in festivals. At the Jinsha Flower Market, a flower sea of almost 1,000m2 was formed with herb trinity, tulip, cymbidium and such other species, which decorated both the day and the night. Flower rivers and floats in different shapes retained the most visitors. The Sun Festival would continue to Mar. 8, during which, ticket was sold at RMB 30.
