Jinsha Site Museum on CAEXPO Culture Exhibition on Behalf of Chengdu

    As an expo of the biggest size, scale and participation in China and ASEAN region, the Jinsha Site Museum standing for the time-honored history and rich culture of Chengdu was the only one represented in the exhibition.

    The cultural and creative products section which is inspired by Jinsha culture in ancient Shu stood out from the display section of Chengdu. Sun Bird gold ornaments and necklaces, functional and compact stationary with Jinsha features were hugely popular among visitors. 

 

    The cultural exhibition features “Jointly Building the Maritime Silk Road of the 21th Century, Promoting People-to-People Bond between China and ASEAN Countries” as its theme, a good opportunity to show the achievements of cultural construction and development. During this exhibition, Mu Tao, Vice Minister of Publicity Department of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee specially invited the Consul Generals of Thailand and Vietnam in Guangxi to visit the cultural and creative product section, and told foreign guests the excavation of the Jinsha Site, its construction and its historic value and meaning. Because the discovery of the Jinsha Site indicates that Chengdu as a city can date back to over 3000 years ago.

    The Grand Exhibition of China-ASEAN Cultural Exchange

   CAEXPO has been the recognized platform for the China-ASEAN joint cooperation. It has been included in the series of activities of China-ASEAN Year of Cultural Exchange by the Ministry of Culture.
