For most visitors to the museum, the curator is a “busy man” who shows up once in a blue moon. This year, at 10:30 on May 18, the first “Curator Guide Day” of Jinsha Site Museum will start. Visitors present will hear the “customized guide commentary” of Wang Fang, the curator and senior research fellow, at No.4 Exhibition Hall. Here, Mr. Wang Fang will hold a brilliant “dialogue between the ancient and modern times” with the Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Foil, Ten-node Jade Cong, The Gold Mask, and other highlights of the collections based on his research experience. Technology and Creativity Makes “Intelligent” Museum
From May 15 to May 20, “Creative Technology in Jinsha—Exhibition of Achievements of the Intelligent Museum Project” will “reveal” to the audience “smart” management and service of the museum with pictures and multimedia interactive devices. What is also worth mentioning is that, aside from pictures, the exhibition also includes interactions with audience: mobile phone scan to make pictures of cultural relics three-dimensional; view of the vicissitudes of Jinsha over 3000 years through VR glasses; tour around the museum with your friends online and offline on Jinsha Intelligent Guide APP; and obtain videos, stories of relics, AR interactions, etc. with one touch, enjoy a multi-sensory touring experience.
Colorful Evening Activities Connect to the Public
On the evening of May 18, Jinsha Site Museum will hold “Aspiration at Jinsha—the Museum Night” themed event. On this evening party full of warmth and gratitude, 10 blind children from Chengdu Special Education School will give a choral performance. They have felt and listened to the charm of Jinsha, and will now express the Jinsha in their hearts with their songs.
