Jinsha Site Museum Wins the Title of "The Most Innovative Museum in China" in 2020

On the morning of May 18, the 2020 "5···18 International Museum Day", hosted by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, opened in Nanjing Museum. At the opening ceremony, the Chinese Museum Association officially announced the recommendation results of the 2020 "The Most Innovative Museum in China". Proposed by expo experts and curators, Jinsha Site Museum stood out from more than 5,000 museums in China and won the title of "The Most Innovative Museum in China".

Relying on the unique archaeological site and distinctive cultural connotations, Jinsha Site Museum not only leads the audience to look back at the history and perceive the world through the most important cultural function of display and exhibition, but also pioneers a new way of interpreting archaeological science and a new concept of curation called "co-planning and co-creating", allowing audiences of different ages, identities and educational backgrounds to participate in the construction of the museum's value.

Jinsha archaeological site will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its discovery in 2021. It has a history of more than 3,000 years, and is actively embracing the latest cutting-edge technology. As one of the seven experimental units of "smart museum" in China, Jinsha Site Museum, based on the brand-new positioning of "culture + science and technology", has taken the lead in launching the integrated management platform of 14 subsystems in China, such as the visualization system for display. At the same time, through augmented reality, virtual reality and other digital technologies, the public can experience Jinsha culture and perceive ancient Shu civilization in a more ingenious, economical and convenient way.
