Six Awards and Four Exhibitions: Encounter beauty of Life in Jinsha on May 18

Jinsha Site Museum opens freely to the public on May 18, “the International Museum Day”, a global festival, and prepares special exhibitions, theme live streaming, social education and abundant activities to attract visitors to come to Jinsha to feel the beauty of life.
Abundant Awards: Six for Jinsha
On Chengdu and Chongqing Event of 2023 International Museum Day, Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum won five titles: “Top Ten Display Exhibits”, “International, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Cooperation Award”, “Top Ten Culture and Exposition Poster”, “Outstanding Cases of Museum Volunteerism in Sichuan” and “Excellent Cases of Innovative Application of Digital Cultural Relics”.
Besides, on the Digital Culture and Tourism Development Conference of Sichuan Province 2023, the digital experience program “Virtual Archaeology Gate” in Jinsha Site Museum won the title of Innovative Practice of Digitalization in Culture and Tourism in Sichuan.
Four Exhibitions on Show: Nationwide Tour of Ancient Shu Culture
The exhibition “Jinsha in My Eyes—A Photography Exhibition on the Ancient Shu Culture” opened on May 18 in Jinsha Site Museum. The exhibition will display over 130 photographic works collected from various sectors of society, and show their understanding to Ancient Shu culture.
“The ‘Marriage’ Between Gold and Jade—Boutique Jade, Gold and Silver Collections from Sichuan and Chongqing”, hosted by these two cities opens at Chongqing Changshou District Museum, with 178 handpicked pieces/sets of jade, gold and silver collections from 16 museums and institutes of archaeology.
Besides, there is a special exhibition for selected popular cultural and creative products from Jinsha.
More than 2000 kilometers away, “The world of Man and God—Sichuan Ancient Shu culture Exhibition” made its stunning debut in Hami Culture and Museum. 113 pieces/sets of precious cultural relics from Sanxingdui Site, Jinsha Site, Shu Royal Tomb, and other significant cultural sites present visitors in Xinjiang magnificent spiritual world of Ancient Shu culture.
Beauty in Jinsha: A Tour in Museum on Line and on Site
Together with World Expo Museum, Jinsha Site Museum carried out a live streaming course for the students in Xiangyang Primary School, Qiusui County, Henan Province and interpreted The Immortal Sun and Bird Ornament and the Egyptians’ worship of the Sun.
Volunteers in Jinsha Site Museum once went to Jianyang City to tell the splendid cultural history to the disabled and guided them to touch the replicas, allowing them to feel the glitter of Ancient Shu culture.
Jinsha Site Museum also went to communities to carry out cultural science popularization, leading citizens to deeply understand the Ancient Shu culture, through the use of posters and artifact replicas and organizing featured social education activities.
