2023 Chengdu Jinsha Sun Festival officially opens on January 19th. It is reported that from today to February 5th, wonderful activities will continue to accompany the public through Chinese New Year.

Section One Go into Ancient Shu Kingdom

More than 2,000 precious cultural relics unearthed from Jinsha Site present the visitors rich production and life, exquisite art and aesthetics, and mysterious religious beliefs of the Ancient Shu of Jinsha.

Section Two Appreciate European Art: A glittering Feast of Art

“Collection as Treasure-Highlights from the Gilberts’ Collection of the V&A, UK”, hosted by Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum and and Victoria and Albert Museum, reproduces the exquisite life, high level of craftsmanship, and cross-regional civilization exchanges of the European society from the 16th to the 19th century.

Section Three Intangible Heritage Exhibition: the Beauty of Lacquerware

“Exhibition for Lacquerware in Chengdu and Chongqing” shows the beauty of lacquerware through 60 pieces/sets of lacquerware works.

Section Four Children’s Handicraft Light up Jinsha

Chengdu Campus Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, exhibiting thousands of student works, let Jinsha culture light up the city night.

Section Five Thematic Lantern SetsLight 300,000 Square Meters of Ancient Shu Area

2023 Jinsha Sun Festival includes 18 sets of large thematic lanterns. Tens of thousands of various decorative lights make the entire Jinsha Site Museum a lively, brilliant world of light and shadow.

Section Six Ancient Shu Flower Market

This year's Flower Market is based on the archaeological excavation materials of Jinsha Site, presents the comfortable ecological environment of Ancient Shu of Jinsha and the romantic fantasy of ancient Shu ancestors on deer and nature.

Section Seven the Zodiac Culture Exhibition

During 2023 Jinsha Sun Festival, Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum and China Cultural Relics Newspaper hosted, jointly with more than 50 culture and exposition units, selected more than 100 pictures of cultural relics related to rabbit from different regions in different periods, and it is the first time to display in combination with traditional Chinese colored lanterns.

Section Eight Performances Combined Tradition with Trend

From January 22 to January 29, and from February 4 to February 5, Jinsha Site Museum will present two large-scale performances on the main stage every day, overall interpreting the ancient Shu civilization and Tianfu culture.

Hundreds of stands of delicious foods around the country gather in Jinsha gourmet area, where at least one fits you well.
