Hosted by the Chinese Museum Association and China Heritage Newspaper, the “Nineteenth (2021) National Museums Top Ten Exhibition Promotion” announced the final awards. Jewels of Resplendence: Treasures from the Himalayas, organized by Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum and Art Museum the Chinese University of Hong Kong was honored the International, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Cooperation Finalist Award.
Cultural Exchange and Cooperation between Chengdu and Hongkong
In order to actively respond to the guiding principle of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage on “deepening cultural heritage exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan”, Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum, in collaboration with the Heritage Museum of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, organized a special exhibition entitled the Jewels of Resplendence: Treasures from the Himalayas from February to April 2021. The exhibition handpicked 233 pieces/sets of art treasures in Himalayas mainly dated from 17th -20th century.
Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Cultures
The ancient Shu Jinsha and the Himalaya region, spanning thousands of years, have different cultural configuration and expressions, but human beings' aspirations for a better life and the pursuit of beauty are the same.

At the final evaluation of the “Top Ten Fine Arts” promotion, the Jewels of Resplendence: Treasures from the Himalayas exhibition triggered a warm response from the judges and delegates. A number of experts evaluated, put forward questions and exchanged views on the linkage between the exhibition and modern life, diversified means of display, and the organic combination of archaeological culture and art.
