Creating the Guinness World Record Work Together with the Public, and Truly Bringing Cultural Relics to Life

Outside the Jinsha Site Museum, the reporter saw visitors of different ages, museum volunteers, and students from Jinsha Elementary School diligently constructing the “ Sunbird” piece by piece.

The image of the Sunbird that will be presented in this activity is not only the most representative cultural symbol among the thousands of precious cultural relics in Jinsha, the capital of Ancient Shu State, but also the main pattern of China's cultural heritage and the city image symbol of Chengdu.

In 2001, the Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament was discovered at the Jinsha Site in Chengdu. It has a gold content of up to 94.2% and a thickness of only 0.2 millimeters, bearing witness to the brilliant achievements of ancient Chinese gold craftsmanship.

Unveiling the Protection of the Earth Site, Jinsha Site Museum Contributes to the Protection and Inheritance of Cultural Heritage

Before the start of the activity, a special guided tour was held in the museum. It is known that since its establishment, Jinsha has attached great importance to the protection of earth sites and relics. At the same time, it has continuously promoted the protection of earth sites by introducing multidisciplinary forces through cooperation with scientific research institutes and colleges, and has contributed to heritage protection.

A museum is like a large school. The "I'm here to assemble the Sunbird" themed activity was launched on April 18th, International Day for Monuments and Sites, and will be completed on May 18th, International Museum Day. It not only attracts a wider range of social groups to participate in the practice and dissemination of cultural heritage protection but also innovatively presents and expresses museum education through "museum-school cooperation together with crowdfunding and crowdsourcing", enabling the general public to actively understand excellent historical and cultural knowledge and cultivate cultural confidence.
