Ancient Shu civilization made a comeback in Macao

  This morning (April 26), the mysterious treasures from the Ancient Shu Kingdom made a stunning debut in Macao, a place where Chinese meets West, strongly attracting local tourists. It is reported that the Travel Expo will last till April 28.

  The holding of this year's Tourism Expo  coincides with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Macao Special Administrative Region. Sichuan Culture and Tourism has been especially invited to the event, presenting Ancient Shu civilization represented by Sanxingdui and Jinsha.

  For a long time, Ancient Shu only existed in vague legends and tales, until the discovery and excavation of Sanxingdui and Jinsha Site at the end of the last century to the beginning of this century, which revealed its mysterious veil to the world. Ancient Shu civilization is undoubtedly the most shining ‘pearl’ in ancient civilizations of the Sichuan Basin.

  In order to give visitors a deeper understanding of Jinsha culture, Zheng Manli, deputy secretary of the Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum, also conducted an on-site promotion of Jinsha culture and the urban cultural spirit behind it.

  Culture is wonderful through communication, and enriched through mutual learning. Under the guidance of the spirit of ‘Sichuan-Macau Cooperation’, Jinsha Site Museum is going to participate in the Travel Expo in Macao for the second time after 2023. It will continue to deepen the friendly ties with local cultural institutions in Macao, and broaden the cooperation with overseas cultural and museum institutions , so as to let the Sichuan cultural tourism and Ancient Shu civilization take Macao as a start to extend to a wider world.
