Jinsha Site Museum Garners Multiple National and Provincial Awards on May 18th International Museum Day

  Today, the Art Exhibition China held the 2023 National Museum (Exhibition) Overseas Influence Best Practices Exchange Conference in Chengdu and released the “2023 National Museum (Exhibition) Overseas Influence Evaluation Report”. Jinsha Site Museum was ranked among the top 20 in the nation.

  Organized by the Jinsha Site Museum, the exhibition “Brocaded Regions with Echoes Across Miles:Silk Road Culture in Xinjiang” has been recommended by the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the national Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission for inclusion in the 2024 “Reading China in Museums: Promoting Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture and Cultivating Socialist Core Values” themed exhibition series. The exhibition will start in Jinsha Site Museum on May 28th.

  In addition, at the 2024 “International Museum Day” Sichuan-Chongqing Main Venue Event, Jinsha Site Museum received six awards, including the “Top 10 Exhibition Highlights” of Sichuan Provincial Museums in 2023.

  Overseas Influence: Top 20 in the Nation

  “2023 National Museum (Exhibition) Overseas Influence Evaluation Report” (Hereinafter referred to as the evaluation report) selected by Art Exhibitions China along with Cultural Exchange Think Tanks, Oriental Outlook, China Think Tank Research Institute and other cultural think tank research institutions, based on overseas mainstream media, overseas social media platforms, academic search, museum magazines, search engines and other channels and methods through comprehensive evolution from the dimensions of scientific research influence, cultural service, exhibition innovation and media communication. Finally, Top 100 Overall List in the nation and Top 10 List of four categories, including comprehensive museums, cultural relics and historic sites museums, special museums and revolutionary memorial museums, were selected.

  According to the evaluation report, as the only selected museum in Chengdu, Jinsha Site Museum, along with the Sanxingdui Museum, jointly ranked top 20 nationally renowned  museums (exhibitions) in China,in terms of overseas influence. In the list of cultural relics and historic sites museums with overseas influence, Jinsha Site Museum ranked the fourth in China.

  Intra-province Awards: Six Awards Showcase Strength

  On May 18th, the Sichuan and Chongqing main event of the “International Museum Day 2024” was held in Guang’an city. Several awards including the “Top 10 Exhibitions” of Sichuan Provincial Museum for 2023 were presented. Jinsha Site Museum won six of these awards, “Top 10 Exhibitions” and “Top 10 Cultural and Creative Posters” for the exhibition “Golden Light Shine Miles Away-Bronze Civilization in Southwest China”, “International and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Cooperation Award” for the exhibition “Collect as Treasure-Treasures from the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Collection”, “Top 10 Cultural and Creative Short Videos” for the bilingual thematic film “Gold Mask”, “Outstanding Achievements in Cultural and Creative Research” (Monograph Group) for the research on “Jinsha Jade Art II-Study on Jade Cong Craftsmanship”, and the project “AI ‘Companion’ Robot in Jinsha” won the award for “Excellent Case of Digital Cultural Relics Innovation Application”.
