Serial Activities of 100 Years of Chinese Archaeology Opens Today

International Academic Conference to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Discovery of Jinsha Site opened in Chengdu on September 27th, to promote the construction of Chinese-style archaeology, show respect to Chinese 100-year archaeological journey, and commemorate the 20th anniversary of the discovery of Jinsha Site.
On February 8, 2001, the discovery of Jinsha Site shocked the whole world, and was honored as the first major archaeological discovery in China in the 21st century. 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Chinese archaeology, and today, the Jinsha Site, the first major archaeological discovery in China in the 21st century, also holds the International Academic Conference of its 20th anniversary. The conference is organized in the form of “On-line + On-site”. Experts from museums and institutions in the United States, Mexico and other countries will attend through video conference.
It is reported that this conference shows the latest research results of Jinsha Site in recent years. The meeting is held at a time when a new round of excavation of Sanxingdui is underway. Experts will combine the latest archaeological discoveries of Sanxingdui to discuss the relationship between Sanxingdui site and Jinsha site and further promote the development of Ancient Shu Civilization and even Sichuan regional civilization research.
