Featured three times on CCTV and ranked as the top museum in Chengdu on Ctrip's popularity list

Throughout the National Day holiday, diverse activities organized by Jinsha gained significant attention on social media platforms like Xiaohongshu, Weibo, and Douyin, where related posts and discussions amassed millions of views. As the flood of online comments reflects, the Jinsha Site Museum was bustling with activity during the holiday. Visitors stepping into the museum found themselves immersed in the ancient Shu Kingdom, gaining rich cultural knowledge while enjoying hands-on experiences and active participation. From ancient Shu relics to intangible heritage traditions, from public guided tours to science salons, and from daytime to nighttime, guests experienced a truly unique and engaging visit.

The widespread online buzz also drew coverage from mainstream media. The news channel and Financial Channel of the China Media Group reported on the museum’s National Day activities on three occasions, highlighting its event lineup, intangible heritage displays, civilized tourism guidance and night tours. Additionally, multiple platforms—including Cover News app, Museum Headlines, Cultural and Tourism Chengdu, and the museum’s official social media accounts—collaborated to produce a live "Night Tour of Jinsha • Through Ancient Shu -- Museum Scene Guided Show" that attracted millions of online viewers, supported by Douyin’s "Dou-in Museum" campaign and Weibo. In addition, on the Ctrip app, searches for museums in the Chengdu area ranked the Jinsha Site Museum as the most popular in Chengdu, second only to the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan.

Nighttime Guided Show Boosts Chengdu’s Night Economy

During the National Day holiday, Jinsha Site Museum extended its hours to 9:00 p.m., even opening as early as 8:30 a.m. on peak days. The 12+ hour schedule provided ample visiting time, allowing guests to experience the allure of ancient Shu culture by night. Through unique nighttime activities, the museum introduced a fresh, multifaceted cultural experience to Chengdu, further enriching the city’s cultural tourism scene and boosting the local night economy.

The museum’s night show, "Night Tour of Jinsha • Through Ancient Shu -- Museum Scene Guided Show" is the first museum-based dramatic guided tour in Sichuan. Inspired by "Jinsha", China’s first original musical on archaeology, the immersive show uses professional staging, authentic costumes and props, and realistic reenactments across seven different locations—indoors and outdoors, creating a "tailor-made" experience for visitors to engage with ancient Shu civilization on a deeper level.

To ensure safety, the museum deployed 700 security personnel in ten security zones, along with a mobile patrol team offering 24-hour security throughout the holiday. Additionally, 143 volunteers provided 807 hours of guided tours, consultation, and courtesy reminders, ensuring a warm and seamless experience for all visitors.
