Qing Rhythm——The Traditional Color Aesthetics in Chinese Artifacts

Exhibition Time: July 16-October 8,2025

Hosted by: Jinsha Site Museum

This exhibition is Sichuan’s first large-scale original exhibition focused on the aesthetics of color in cultural relics. Guided by the curatorial framework of “cultural relics + aesthetic interpretation + living heritage”, it brings together over 200 exquisite artifacts in qing hues from more than 20 cultural institutions in China, including the Palace Museum, Hunan Museum, and Anhui Museum. Highlighting the jade and turquoise unearthed at Jinsha, the exhibition also presents selected blue-and-white porcelain, celadon, jade, lazurite, glassware, textiles, and paintings from across China. Together they decode the Chinese ritual and aesthetic tradition of “using color to convey respect”, while innovative cross-disciplinary collaborations between cultural relics and intangible heritage provide a new paradigm for expressing traditional culture.
