Approximately 120,000 Visitors Attended the National Day Events in Jinsha Site

During the 2025 National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Jinsha Site Museum received approximately 120,000 visitors, marking a 15.2% year-on-year increase. At the end of the holiday, the museum will resume its regular hours from October 9th, operating from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:00 PM).

Over 80 cultural events took turns to perform with Jinsha's eight-day festival bursting with festive energy

In order to make tourists have a substantial holiday, Jinsha Site Museum  opened three featured exhibitions at the same time, and launched more than 80 cultural activities in various forms, creating a comprehensive, multi-angle audio-visual and interactive experience.

Each of the three exhibitions has its own focus, catering to the needs of different groups and age groups of visitors. The permanent exhibition "Stepping into Jinsha" focuses on the in-depth interpretation of ancient Shu civilization and Jinsha culture, becoming the most popular exhibition among tourists during the holiday. The special exhibition "Qing Rhyme Traditional Chinese Color Aesthetics in Cultural Relics" uses abundant cultural relics as carriers to profoundly explain the cultural connotation of China's blue color, offering visitors an aesthetic experience that combines cultural depth with visual impact. The "Jade Reflecting Jinsha-Jade Culture Popularization Exhibition" innovatively sets up interactive elements such as magnetic display walls, jade-making experimental platforms, and "Color Infiltration" simulation turntables, transforms the three exhibition areas into tangible "living textbooks" that allow visitors to personally experience the unique charm of ancient Shu jade culture.

Meanwhile, the museum not only offers free guided tours at various times daily but also hosts a series of educational and entertaining activities. All five sessions of the "Searching for Scent in Jinsha-Qing Rhyme Elegant Gathering" were packed to the brim, with the venue buzzing with laughter and joy. On October 6th, Mid-Autumn Festival, the lawn of the Relics Hall transformed into an elegant gathering space. Participants immersed themselves in Song Dynasty aesthetics through traditional rituals like flower adorning, handwashing, tea tasting, incense burning, qin music appreciation, incense crafting, and interactive Feihualing, a poetry game or challenge where participants recite poems containing certain phrases or words. They also enjoyed exclusive experiences including burning the “Golden Rabbit” Moon-Gazinging Incense and praying for blessings to the Moon God, offering good fortune for themselves and their families.

Meanwhile, daily rotating experiences like woodblock printing, bookmark painting, Jade carving, bamboo weaving, Osmanthus Fragrance lucky bags, and blue-and-white porcelain painting offer visitors unique intangible cultural heritage experiences. The cultural performance "Inheriting Ancient Shu and Protecting the Civilization Together" blends Sichuan opera, acrobatics, and classical dance to showcase Jinsha's precious heritage. In the “Discover Jinsha: Family Study Tour,” children become “little Shamans” embarking on fun cultural adventures in the museum. The “Discover Jinsha Beauty: Emotional Journey for Families” combines ancient Shu culture with healing rituals, allowing family visitors to release emotions and find emotional resonance through cultural experiences.

Furthermore, Jinsha Site Museum extends its cultural warmth beyond the exhibition halls through themed activities like the “Mobile Exhibition of Ancient Shu Jinsha Civilization” in communities and the “Lighting Up Small Wishes: Jinsha Conveys Warmth” themed charity event in hospitals. These efforts deliver holiday blessings and care to residents and hospitalized children, promoting the extension of public cultural resources to diverse groups while demonstrating the humanistic care and social responsibility of cultural institutions.

Warm-hearted services take multiple measures to make the holiday season in Jinsha even more heartwarming

During the National Day holiday, Jinsha Site Museum not only launched cultural activities to bring rich experience to tourists, but also won praise from the audience with its thoughtful service and a number of convenient measures.

To cope with the large number of visitors during the holiday and avoid long waiting time, the museum will open from 8:30 to 18:30 every day, so that visitors from all over the country can enjoy the visit. At the same time, the museum will launch a live broadcast on the theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival on several official platforms.

To enhance service quality, Jinsha Site Museum has implemented multiple measures, such as expanding security patrols and volunteer teams, establishing multiple free luggage storage points, preparing essential tourist items in advance, and increasing inspection and cleaning frequency to ensure visitor convenience and safety. During the National Day holiday, over 500 security personnel were deployed across 13 positions and a mobile patrol team, providing round-the-clock protection. Additionally, 154 volunteers contributed through public education tours, consultation services, civilization guidance, and social education programs, playing an indispensable role in maintaining the site's accessibility and safety.
